Il messaggio fascista di Attack on Titan che è stato ignorato: Analisi del Massacro di Nanchino

E' il 2019. La stagione finale di Attack on Titan è stata appena annunciata e la serie anime sta raggiungendo il picco dell'attenzione. Il grande plot twist che ha terminato la seconda parte della terza stagione ha rivelato che il mondo di AoT è molto più grande e complesso di quanto potessimo immaginare. Per rinfrescarvi la memoria, vi parlerò dell'episodio numero 56: "La cantina".

La Battaglia per Shiganshina è appena terminata. Pieck Finger, trasformata in gigante, sta fuggendo dalle mura, portando con sé Reiner Braun che è severamente ferito e Zeke Jaeger che ha ancora l'amaro in bocca per la sconfitta. Armin, che si era sacrificato per completare la sua missione di bloccare le Mura e permettere Eren di sconfiggere il Gigante Colossale, è a sua volta trasformato in gigante per divorare Bertholdt Hoover - ed ereditare lo stesso gigante che l'ha "ucciso".

Dopo circa tre ore dalla morte di Bertholdt, l'Armata Ricognitiva decide finalmente di controllare ciò per cui hanno combattuto duramente: la verità all'interno della cantina di Grisha.

Eren, Mikasa, Hanji e Levi entrano nel seminterrato della vecchia casa di Eren e trovano qualcosa di inaspettato: tre libri scritti da Grisha Jaeger.

La scritta trovata dietro un foglio trovato all'interno di uno dei tre libri recita questo: "Questa non è un'illustrazione. Invece, questa utilizza luce riflessa da un soggetto e imprime l'immagine su della carta speciale. Questa si chiama 'fotografia'. Io provengo da fuori le Mura, un luogo dove l'umanità vive nel lusso. L'umanità non si è estinta."

Grisha poi continua a spiegare che oltre il mare, si trova un mondo intero che vuole solamente distruggere la loro razza: gli Eldiani.

Gli Eldiani che abitano fuori dalle mura sono trattati come reietti della società: vivono in ghetti e sono obbligati ad indossare fasce al braccio per distinguerli da altre persone. Non possono creare famiglie "interraziali", non possono ricevere un'educazione elevata, cercare lavori agiati o diventare ricchi.

Appena questi episodi sono stati trasmessi, la gente ha iniziato a tracciare degli ovvi parallelismi tra le condizioni degli Eldiani in Marley e le atrocità che gli Ebrei hanno dovuto sopportare durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, nei territori occupati dall'Asse.

In questo articolo, voglio commentare un altro articolo scritto da Tom Speelman per Polygon.com, intitolato:

"Il messaggio fascista di Attack on Titan non può essere ignorato"

Ironicamente, ho chiamato il mio servizio "Il messaggio fascista di Attack on Titan che è stato ignorato", non per fare una caricatura della tesi di Speelman, ma per evidenziare il problema principale del suo lavoro.

Iniziamo con il primo punto:

La serie, [...] è ora nel suo arco narrativo finale, [...] Più ci avviciniamo al suo finale, più è semplice capire quale è il vero messaggio della serie. E il messaggio di Attack on Titan sembra avere lineamenti anti-semitici e pro-fascisti.

Questo punto è allo stesso tempo corretto e errato. Certo, Attack on Titan ha una natura simpatizzante per la destra politica, ma non una natura anti-semitica - più che altro direi "Anti-cinese".

L'autore poi continua a descrivere le somiglianze tra gli Eldiani e gli Ebrei durante gli anni quaranta e poi tratta la controversia dietro l'ispirazione per il personaggio di Dot Pyxis.

I Giganti puri sono senza cervello, non hanno un bisogno di mangiare per sopravvivere. Molti di loro hanno apparenze grottesche ed esagerate, da braccia corte e teste giganti a ... grossi nasi. E poi ci sono gli Eldiani, che vivono in ghetti e indossano fasce al braccio con stelle ricamate sopra.

In un blog post del 2010, Isayama [...] ammette che un personaggio secondario della serie, l'astuto generale Dot Pyxis, era basato su un generale giapponese realmente esistito, Akiyama Yoshifuru, che ha servito l'armata imperiale giapponese dal 1916 al 1923.

Quando Isayama ha rivelato l'utilizzo di Yoshifuru come ispirazione, ed era finito in un dibattito su Twitter dove sembra che neghi l'evidenze del noto Massacro di Nanchino, è stato ricoperto di minacce di morte da parte di utenti Coreani.

"Credo che categorizzare i soldati giapponesi che servivano in Corea prima che questa fosse uno stato (Isayama crede che la Corea fosse stata una multitudine di staterelli tribali prima che il Giappone la colonizzasse) come 'Nazisti' è piuttosto maleducato. Inoltre, non credo che le popolazioni che furono raddoppiate dopo l'unificazione da parte del Giappone  della loro nazione (forse si riferisce ancora ai Coreani) può essere comparata alla gente che ha subito l'Olocausto. Questo tipo di confusione è la fonte di incomprensioni e discriminazioni (da parte dei Coreani nei confronti dei Giapponesi)."

@migiteorerno ignora come le atrocità commesse dai Giapponesi nelle loro guerre imperialise sono spesso considerate come l'equivalente est-Asiatico dell'Olocausto, mentre ritiene la colonizzazione giapponese della penisola responsabile per la modernizzazione della Corea. I due articoli trattano solo una delle opinioni che Hajime Isayama ha sull'imperialismo giapponese del ventesimo secolo.

Ma credo che ci sia un altro messaggio nascosto che è stato ignorato dalla maggior parte del pubblico, che è di gran lunga il più recente ma allo stesso tempo più preoccupante problema che le opinioni negazioniste di Isayama hanno manifestato nella serie - Ed è il concetto dei "Peccati dei Padri".

La quarta stagione di Attack on Titan tratta una seria questione morale:

"E' lecito punire una persona per i crimini compiuti dai loro antenati?"

Naturalmente, l'opinione di Isayama è onnipresente all'interno della stagione finale, ma voglio soffermarmi su un'episodio in particolare: l'episodio 70, "Impostori".

In questo episodio, Gabi e Falco fuggono dalla struttura in cui sono stati tenuti prigionieri (precedentemente i ragazzini hanno raggiunto le Mura salendo sul dirigibile dell'Armata Ricognitiva, dove Gabi ha ucciso Sasha) e finiscono in una foresta, dove si strappano le loro fasce al braccio e vengono salvati da Kaya (una ragazza di Dauper che fu salvata da Sasha nella seconda stagione).

Si scopre che la ragazzina ora abita in una fattoria, con i genitori di Sasha e altri bambini orfani che hanno perso i loro genitori a causa dei giganti.

Mentre Gabi continua a mostrarsi diffidente e a tratti razzista contro la famiglia Braus, le false identità dei due sono rivelate.

Dopo aver scoperto che "Ben" e "Mia" (gli pseudonimi di Falco e Gabi) provengono da Marley, Kaya e Gabi iniziano a discutere di storia e colpe.

Kaya porta i due cadetti nelle rovine del suo vecchio villaggio, all'interno della casa in cui ha guardato la madre essere divorata da un gigante puro, senza la possibilità di fare nulla per aiutarla.

Mentre Gabi procede a incolpare lei e tutti gli Eldiani dell'isola di Paradis per le atrocità che la loro razza ha commesso contro numerose civiltà fino a cento anni fa, Kaya cerca di spiegare che né lei, né la madre o nessun'altra persona morta a causa dei giganti ha nulla a che fare con gli orribili atti che i loro antenati comuni hanno compiuto nei confronti dei Marleyani.

Prima di continuare con la mia tesi, vorrei parlare di storia:

Tra il 1937 e il 1945, il Giappone ha combattuto una guerra parallela alla seconda guerra mondiale: la seconda guerra Sino-Giapponese.

Per farla corta, l'esercito giapponese ha fabbricato un incidente lungo il confine della Manciuria con il governo Cinese repubblicano (guidato da Chang Kai-Shek) - il cosiddetto Incidente del Ponte Marco Polo.

L'esercito cinese ha combattuto duramente contro i giapponesi, nonostante gli ultimi fossero tecnologicamente superiori.

Il fatto che i cinesi stessero tenendo testa ai loro invasori ha reso i giapponesi furiosi. Questa rabbia ha portato ancora più atrocità di quelle che la guerra già portava sui civili.

Uno degli eventi più tristemente famosi dei crimini di guerra giapponesi è il Massacro di Nanchino.

Ora, non voglio entrare in dettaglio su quello che è accaduto, siccome è stato difficilissimo moralmente e fisicamente leggere e vedere foto di quello che l'esercito giapponese ha fatto nella capitale della Cina.

Se siete abbastanza coraggiosi a leggere menzioni di splatter estremo, stupri, incesto forzato, impalamenti, bollitura di persone vive, esercizi con la baionetta, sepolture di persone vive e molto peggio, potete fare una ricerca su internet, anche partendo dal materiale che ho messo alla fine dell'articolo.

Ora, la parte peggiore di tutto questo non è soltanto il fatto che la persona che ha orchestrato questo olocausto è stata lasciata completamente impunita (il mandante era il principe Asaka che, siccome era membro della famiglia imperiale giapponese, aveva diritto ad una completa immunità, in seguito ad un patto siglato con le autorità alleate, per alleggerire il peso dell'occupazione americana del Giappone - vivrà fino al 1981, dopo che sarà morto per cause naturali), ma il fatto che ancora oggi, molta gente in Giappone (come lo stesso Isayama) vede questi eventi in una maniera diversa rispetto alla realtà.

Naturalmente, il governo giapponese non ha mai diplomaticamente chiesto scusa alla Cina e alla Corea. Neanche in questi anni.

La scusa principale per giustificare la mancanza di scuse da parte del governo è la seguente:

"Il Giappone moderno è molto diverso da quello che era circa settanta anni fa. Molte persone che oggi vivono in giappone non hanno mai preso parte a queste azioni deplorevoli - quindi il governo giapponese moderno non merita essere odiato, né deve scusarsi per cose che non ha mai fatto."

Sembra famigliare? E' perché è lo stesso ragionamento che Kaya usa contro Gabi nel suo dibattito nell'episodio 70.

"Gli eldiani di oggi sono molto diversi da quelli di cento anni fa, sebbene i loro antenati erano responsabili di tutte le atrocità commesse, gli eldiani moderni non meritano tutto l'odio, il pregiudizio e la sofferenza imposta dai Marleyani, siccome non possono essere puniti per i 'Peccati dei loro Avi' ".

Queste sono le parole di Kaya dal capitolo 109, "Guide"

KAYA: "Secondo le informazioni rese pubbliche all'interno delle mura quattro anni fa, al di fuori delle mura ci sono altre persone che ci considerano una razza demoniaca. Tuttavia... non capisco perché ci odino così tanto. ... Ben... Mia... Ditemi... Cosa avrebbe fatto mia madre? Per quale motivo ci odiate così tanto?"

GABI: "Per migliaia di anni! Avete ucciso persone in tutto il mondo!"

KAYA: "Per migliaia di anni?"

GABI: "Come puoi averlo dimenticato?! Per migliaia di anni, gli eldiani hanno dominato il mondo grazie al potere dei giganti! Hanno rubato le culture degli altri popoli! E hanno costretto le donne ad avere i loro figli! Hanno ucciso un numero incalcolabile di persone! Non importa quanti di voi abbiano voltato le spalle a ciò che è successo, perché il mondo non le dimenticherà mai! Adesso smettila di fare la vittima!"

KAYA: "Ma mia madre è nata e cresciuta da queste parti... non ha mai fatto queste orribili cose..."

GABI: "Infatti! Il problema è ciò che hanno commesso i vostri antenati cento anni fa!"

KAYA: "Cento anni fa... Allora, noi che siamo vivi adesso... Quali crimini stiamo commettendo?"

GABI: "Recentemente... Avete devastato la mia città natale..."

KAYA: "Mia mamma è stata uccisa quattro anni fa... Lei non c'entra niente..."

GABI: "Te l'ho detto... E' colpa delle atrocità dei vostri antenati!"

KAYA: "Ma mia madre non ha ucciso nessuno!"

Voi cosa ne pensate?

**DISCLAIMER** Con questo articolo non intendo criticare nessuno dei giornalisti menzionati, né ha l'intento di diffamare Hajime Isayama o una delle sue opere.

Sfortunatamente, l'opinione di Isayama non è rara in Giappone.

Ogni anno, a milioni di studenti giapponesi viene insegnato a non prestare molta attenzione ai crimini di guerra giapponesi, non avendo libri di storia imparziali. Libri scolastici giapponesi raramente trattano il Massacro di Nanchino, e quando lo fanno, i fatti sono formulati in una maniera che dipinge il Giappone come la vera vittima della guerra e non il contrario.

Per favore, informatevi sulle atrocità che sono accadute nel passato, così da non ripeterle o difenderle nel futuro.

The Fascist Subtext of Attack on Titan that got overlooked: An analysis of the Nanking Massacre

  Hello everyone! It's been a while! Sorry for the absence, but I've been dealing with my final exams of high school and now I'm enrolled in university! I will try to continue to post articles here whenever I can. Thank you for all the people that will stick by!

This article is a though one. Reader discretion is advised.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: This article contains mentions of Nazism, Fascism, rape, war-crimes, gore, abuse, negationism and, of course, spoilers for season 3 and 4 of Attack on Titan.

It’s 2019. The final season of Attack on Titan has been announced and the anime series is reaching an all-time high amount of attention. The big plot-twist that ended season 3 part 2 revealed that the world of AoT is far bigger and more complex than anyone could ever imagine. To refresh your memory, I’m going to talk about episode 56: “The Basement”.

The Battle for Shiganshina is just over. Pieck Finger, in her Titan form, just escaped the walls, bringing with her a severely wounded Reiner Braun and a bitter Zeke Jaeger. Armin, who sacrificed himself to accomplish the mission of blocking the Walls and letting Eren slay the Colossal Titan, is himself turned into a titan to eat Bertholdt Hoover – and inherit the same titan that "killed" him.

After approximately three hours from Bert’s death, the Scouts finally decide to check the thing they’ve hardly fought for: the truth in Grisha’s basement.

Eren, Mikasa, Hanji and Levi enter in the basement of Eren’s old house, and find something unexpected: three books written by Grisha Jaeger.

The written sentence behind the picture found in one of the books recites this: “This is no illustration. Instead, this uses light reflected off a subject and burns the image on special paper. I come from a place outside the walls where humanity lives in elegance. Humanity has not perished.”

Then, Grisha continues to explain that across the sea, there’s an entire world that wants only to destroy their race: the Eldians.

Eldians outside the Walls are treated as society’s rejects: they live in ghettos and they’re forced to wear armbands to be distinguished from other people. They cannot mix with non-Eldians, they cannot receive good education, get a good-paying job or be rich in general.

As soon as these episodes came out, people have started to draw parallels between Eldian conditions in Marley and the atrocities that Jews had to go through during WW2, under Axis occupied territories.

In this article, I want to comment an article written by Tom Speelman for Polygon.com, titled: 

“The fascist subtext of Attack on Titan can’t go overlooked”

Ironically I called my article “The fascist subtext of Attack on Titan that got overlooked”, not to mock Speelman’s words, but to highlight the main problem with the points they deal with in their article.

Let’s start with the first point:

The series, […] is now in its final arc, […] The closer you get to its endgame, the easier it is to see what the message of the series really is. And the message of Attack on Titan appears to have Anti-Semitic and pro-fascist leanings.

This statement is both wrong and right. Attack on Titan’s message does have a right-wing leaning, but it’s not of anti-semitic nature, I'd say it's more "Anti-chinese" than ever.

The author goes on to describe the similarities between Eldians and Jews during the 1940s and then talked about the controversy behind the inspiration for Dot Pyxis.

Pure Titans are mindless, not even needing to eat to live. Many of them have grotesque or exaggerated features, from short arms to giant heads to ... large noses. And then there’s the Eldians living in ghettos, wearing star-embroidered armbands.

In a 2010 blog post, Isayama […] admitted that a supporting character, wily general Dot Pixis, was based on real-life Japanese general Akiyama Yoshifuru, who served in the Japanese Imperial Army from 1916-1923.

when Isayama revealed Yoshifuru as an inspiration, and got into a Twitter flame war where he appeared to deny the notorious Nanjing Massacre, he was swarmed by death threats from Koreans.

“I believe that categorizing the Japanese soldiers who were in Korea before Korea was a country(??) as ‘Nazis’ is quite crude. Also, I do not believe that the people whose populations were increased twofold by Japan’s unification(??) of the country can be compared to people who experienced the Holocaust. This type of miscategorization is the source of misunderstanding and discrimination.” 

@migiteorerno dismisses how Japan’s imperialist war atrocities are often considered the East Asia equivalent to the Holocaust, instead giving credit for Korean’s modernization to Japan’s colonization. The two articles seem to talk about only one of the views Hajime Isayama personally has about Japanese Imperialism of the 20th century.

 

But I believe there’s another subtext that has been missed by most people, that is by far the most modern yet worrying of the problems that negationist views on Japanese war crimes have been imprinted in Attack on Titan – And that is: “The Sins of the Father”.

 

The fourth season of Attack on Titan deals with a serious moral question:

 

“Is it acceptable to punish one for the sins their ancestors have committed?”

 

Obviously, Isayama’s views on this moral topic are all over the final season, but I want to stop at one episode in particular: Episode 70, “Liars ”.

 

In this episode, Gabi and Falco manage to escape from the prison they’ve been kept in (previously the kids have reached the Scouts’ Zeppelin and Gabi killed Sasha) and end up running in a forest, where they take off their armbands and are rescued by Kaya (a girl from Dauper who was saved by Sasha back in Season 2).

 

It is revealed that the girl now lives on a farm, with Sasha’s parents and other orphan kids, who’ve lost their parents because of titans.

 

As Gabi continues to be diffident and racist towards the Braus Family, her fake identity and Falco’s are blown up.

 

After revealing that “Ben” and “Mia” (Gabi and Falco’s pseudonyms) are from Marley, the two girls start discussing about history and blame.

 

Kaya brings the cadets to the ruins of her old village, in the house where she had to helplessly watch as her mother was being devoured by Connie’s father turned into a Pure Titan.

 

As Gabi proceeds to blame her and all of Paradis’s Eldians for the atrocities their race has committed on countless peoples up until 100 years prior, Kaya tries to explain that neither her, nor her mother or any other person who died by the hands of Titans had anything to do with the horrible ethnic cleansing their common ancestors have done on the Marleyans.

 

Before going on with my point, I want to talk about history:

 

Between 1937 and 1945, Japan had fought a “Parallel War” to WW2; that is the Second Sino-Japanese War.

 

To cut it shortly, the Japanese army had fabricated an incident on the Manchurian border with the Republican Chinese Government (led by Chinese general and Statesman Chang Kai-Shek) – the so-called Marco Polo Bridge Incident.

 

The Chinese army has fought hard against the Japanese, despite the latter being more technologically advanced than them.

 

The fact that their enemies were putting up a fight against their invaders made the Japanese furious.

This anger brought more atrocities than the ones that were already being perpetrated on the civilian population.

 

One of the most infamous episodes of Japanese war crimes is the Massacre of Nanking.

Now, I don’t want to get into great details of what happened there, since it’s been heart-wrenching and outright gut-punching to read and see what the Japanese army has done to China’s capital’s population.

If you feel brave enough to read mentions of extreme gore, rape, forced incest, impaling, boiling, bayonet exercises, alive burials and much worse, you can search it up

.

 Now, the worst part about all of this ordeal is not only the fact that the main director of this holocaust has been left completely unpunished (it was Prince Asaka, who had an immunity pact with Allied authorities to ease the American occupation of Japan, that protected the imperial Japanese family, and lived until 1981, dying from natural causes) but the fact that, still to this day, many people in Japan see these events (Japanese imperialist wars, the brutal colonization of Korea and the countless war crimes committed against all people in the Pacific) in a different way than they actually were. And, of course, no official apology was ever issued towards China or Korea. Not even today.

 

The main excuse used to justify the lack of an apology is the following reasoning: “Modern day Japan is far different from the one it was 70 years ago. Many of the people living nowadays in Japan have never taken part in such deplorable actions – therefore the modern Japanese government doesn’t deserve to be hated, nor it needs to apologize for things it has never done.”

 

Sounds familiar? It’s because it’s the same reasoning Kaya uses against Gabi in Episode 70.

 

“The Eldians of today are far different from the Eldians of 100 years ago, although they were responsible for atrocious things, modern Eldians don’t deserve all the hate, prejudice and suffering imposed by the Marleyans, as they cannot be punished for the ‘Sins of their Ancestors’.”

These are Kaya’s words from Chapter 109 “Liar”:

**DISCLAIMER** With this article I don’t intend to criticize any of the journalists mentioned here. This article also doesn’t have the intent to defame Hajime Isayama or any of his works.

Unfortunately, Isayama’s opinion isn’t a rare one in Japan.

Every year, millions of Japanese students are taught to not pay much attention about Japanese war crimes, by not having impartial history books in their history classes. Japanese school books hardly talk about the Nanking Massacre, and when they talk about it, it’s formulated in a way that paints Japan as the true victim of the war, and not the other way around.

Please, inform yourselves on the atrocities that have happened in the past, so that we will not repeat or defend them in the future.

Hybrid Titans - A confusing mess

What are hybrid titans? How are they formed?

In this article I'll try to explain how Titan powers were split from one person (Ymir Fritz) into nine different titans, how they can mix up with each other and how hybrid titans work.

First of all, we need to start from someone, and that someone is the original Titan: Ymir Fritz.

Ymir acquires the Power of the Titans after coming into contact with a parasyte, defined by Eren Kruger as "The Source of All Living Matter".

After that, Ymir becomes a 75-meters-tall(not confirmed) faceless titan.

The first Titan

After her death, Ymir's spine was eaten by her three daughters: Maria, Rose, Sina.

By eating her spine, the three girls inherited her mother's powers, allegedly creating the first three Intelligent Titans, most likely all hybrids.

Now there are two theories on the three original hybrid titans that caame before the Nine Titans.

The "Original Nine"

I'm going to explain the differences between the two theories, and which one is the most accurate (to me, of course).

The "Turtle Quirk" theory)

In the YouTube video titled "The ORIGINAL Armored Titan EXPLAINED! | Attack on Titan | Ancient Titan Theory", released on the 16th of May 2022, by the AoT youtuber Turtle Quirk, the concept of hybrid titans is introduced and explained.

In the video he suggests that Ymir's daughter inherited from their mother three titans each:

Maria, the oldest daughter, inherited the Founding Titan (therefore inheriting the role of Queen of the Eldians), the Armored Titan and the Warhammer Titan

Rose, the middle child, inherited the Attack Titan, the Female Titan and the Colossal Titan

Sina, the youngest, inherited the Beast, the Cart and the Jaw.

To Turtle Quirk, when multiple people eat a Titan-shifter's spine, they "split" the power, creating new Intelligent Titans, apparently breaking the boundary of the Nine Titan-shifters.

Why among all the nine Titans, they have been inherited like this? I'll state the reasons still given in the same YouTube video:

Maria) The Founder, the Armor and the Warhammer all share one main feature, the ability to harden their skin and to create things with it.

This is seen various times, from Karl Fritz (Founding Titan) creating structures like the Walls and the Underground Chapel, Reiner Braun (Armored Titan) having hardened plates all over his Titan body and Lara Tybur (Warhammer Titan) being able to create weapons whenever she wishes.

Rose) The Attack, the Female and the Colossal all share human appearences, and all of them, especially the Female and the Colossal, can be skinless.

Sina) The Beast, the Jaws and the Cart all share similar features, like the resemblance to animals.

In chapter 136, the fact that these three titans are almost undistinguishable if they are quadruped is shown in a rather "comical" situation:

The problem)

The only problem present in Turtle Quirk's theory is the fact that if multiple people eat a Shifter's spine at the same time they generate more Intelligent Titans, therefore creating the possibility to break the boundary of the Nine Titans. In the video, it's explained that eldians couldn't create any more Intelligent Titans because they were restricted by the King.

This part of the theory conflicts with the canon information that the show has given us.

The reason why there are just nine special Titan Powers is because at the time of her death, Ymir's soul was split into nine parts, each representing a Titan-Shifter.

The Foortoo theory)

In the YouTube video titled "Rise of the Eldian Empire and the Great Titan War - Attack On Titan Theory", released on the 5th of December 2021, by the AoT youtuber Foortoo, he suggestes that after Ymir's death, her three daughter inherited not only her mystical titanc powers, but also her political one.

After King Fritz I's death (Maria, Rose and Sina's father), the Eldian Empire was reorganised in clans and subclans, consisting into three main Clans that each ruled over two Subclans.

The organisation of power was based upon the inheritance of the Original Hybrid Titans (Maria, Rose and Sina to be exact), who were the Original Founder, the Original Armour and the Original Beast.

The Original Founder was the union of the Founding Titan, the Colossal Titan and the Attack Titan;

The Original Armour was the union of the Armour, the Warhammer and the Female Titans, due to their ability to harden their skin;

The Original Beast was the union of the Beast, Cart and Jaw Titans.

The problem)

To put it bluntly, Foortoo's division of the Original Titans is a bit wrong.

I believe that the Original Armored could be more better defined by Turtle Quirk's theory.

Although Foortoo justifies the connection between the Female with the Armored and the Warhammer with Annie's ability to harden and enter a cryo-state, I don't think that is a feature of the Female Titan by itself, but more Annie's own capability.

The Female Titan can't be associated with the Armored and the Warhammer Titans because:

1) Other titans can harden their skin (without the help of "Armor spinal fluid", like Eren - cfr. Attack on Titan anime, season 3 part 1, Episode 45 "Outside of the Walls of Orvud district"), like the Beast, but they're not related to the Original Armour:

2) Annie acquired many of her abilities by allegedly eating her comrades's limbs (cfr. Attack on Titan manga, Chapter 133 "Sinners").

New Hybrids)

After the subsequent division of the Original Titans into the Nine Titans, Hybrids will not come back until the year 845, when Grisha Jaeger kills Frieda Reiss and acquires the Founding Titan.

After that, Eren inherits his father's Titan in the same year.

During the Raid of Liberio (year 854), Eren also manages to acquire Lara Tybur's Warhammer Titan.

Fun Fact: Eren Jaeger is the only known Titan-Shifter to retain three different Titan Powers (The Attack, the Founder and the Warhammer)

The second Titan-Shifter known to be an Hybrid Titan is Falco Grice.

Although Falco doesn't have other Titan Powers except the Jaw (taken during the Revenge of Liberio from eating Porco Galliard, cfr. Attack on Titan anime, season 4 part 2, Episode 78 "Two Brothers").

Since Falco's pure Titan was generated by Zeke's spinal fluid, the boy has acquired animalistic features like the appearence of an hawk and the ability to fly (cfr. Attack on Titan manga, Chapter 135 "Battle of Heaven and Earth").
